Outside of school, college, and work, how do adults make new friends? High school students are just a few years from adulthood, so how exactly is it that you make new friends as an adult?
As a newly turned 18-year-old (official A D U L T over here!), I would say it hasn’t really changed much… but I’m guessing you’re talking about what to do when you’re super old, like over the age of 20. My two older sisters (who are both in their late 20s) seem to make friends in much the same way as we do: school, work, clubs (and not the high school kind…)
I just got into a relationship, and I’m not sure how to continue with it. How do I make her smile just a little more?
Well, you already want to make her smile, which means that you’re a caring guy and she is lucky to have you! Girls love compliments, so tell her she looks beautiful whenever you can. Girls also like to feel paid attention to, so plan out dates that you know she’ll enjoy. For instance, if she tells you she likes sushi, take her out to Spicy 9 on Franklin Street or, better yet, buy the ingredients and have a sushi-making night at home. What will be yummier, the sushi or your kiss at the end of the night?
My dog got into my dream college and I didn’t!!! How do we coexist after this has happened???
Oh no! Unfortunately, this is a common dilemma, given that dogs are often much smarter and leave a much better impression on admissions officers than their owners. It may seem hard now, but try to be happy for your dog. Your dog is your best friend for life! Don’t let something like this come between you two!
How do I find the motivation to do my work? Some days I literally have two assignments or something I have to study for and I find myself leaving it for the last minute because I don’t want to do it.
You must declare war on procrastination! A lot of times we feel less motivated to do work the more we have of it… in other words, if you save everything to the last minute your work will pile up and seem insurmountable, discouraging you from doing it and just leading to more procrastination! Ugh! Make yourself a schedule so that you get a little bit of work done every day to avoid this issue. In addition, just doing that first little bit of work (even just writing one paragraph or doing one math problem) will already help you overcome the hardest task, which is just getting started!
My boyfriend makes really bad tiramisu. And he keeps making it. And I keep pretending to like it because I feel bad. What should I do?
You should just tell him the truth in a nice and funny way, or make him some bad coffee. It’s important that couples be honest with each other, even about little things. Alternatively, you could tell him you found out you’re ⅛ canine and will die if you eat chocolate…?
Is it ok for a girl to go for a guy two days younger?
No. That is absolutely disgusting. Girl plz never stoop to that level.
