Gallery: Asian Night dazzles March 24

Asian Night returned to East Chapel Hill March 24, gracing the stage with amazing performances ranging from Bollywood, to traditional dance to K-pop. Along with the performances from community members food from local Asian restaurants was available at the festival.

“Participating in Asian Night helps expose people to Asian culture and their local Asian community,” said the vice president, Chloe Loflin. “Being able to show more of my culture than what’s just shown in the mainstream [is really important.]”

“[Asian Night] immerses the community in the Asian cultures that surround us; you’re immersed in the music, the dances, the food,” said head MC, Sandy Zhou. “[Asian Night] is a really good event to have; one night [dedicated] to celebrate Asian culture and meet new people, because we’re all in one room [together].”
