Boomers: truly one of the worst generations. Defined now by their hatred of technology and the youth. They just want to grill for God’s sakes and be left alone, but there is only one person who is the shining example of this mindset: The Unabomber.
This smelly ecoterrorist led a reign of terror for 17 years before he was caught because he published his manifesto and his brother turned him in after recognizing his writing. Now, some people may say that comparing the attitude of an entire generation to that of a dangerous terrorist is “unfair” and “ridiculous.” But when you think about it, what is the one thing that angers boomers the most? The answer is obvious: phones.
The boomer fixation with phones is fascinating. Everyone has seen the many poorly drawn and thought out boomer comics complaining about young people on their phones. And when it comes down to it, the entire Unabomber manifesto was some old man in the woods complaining that people have it too easy nowadays.
Another striking similarity between your average boomer and the Unabomber is the fascination with escaping to the outdoors. How many boomers have you heard say that all that they want to do is get away from it all and go fishing? And what did the Unabomber do? He ran to the woods to get away from society. Then ran improvised explosive devices through the mail. When it comes down to it, he may have been a violent terrorist, but he was living his generation’s dream.
